WWE Is Reportedly Planning To Build A New Performance Center

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has plans to construct a new Performance Center (PC) facility in Orlando, Florida. The report dismisses any speculation that the company might relocate its developmental hub.

“There is a plan to build a new PC in Orlando, so the idea they could be leaving Orlando is absolutely not in the plans right now,” Meltzer wrote. The new facility is intended to be an upgrade over the current one. “The idea is to have a larger and better facility with a television studio as part of it”.

Regarding the location and timeline, the report notes, “It will be located near the new stadium”. However, the project is not imminent. “Ground hasn’t broken on it so it will be a few years before the move is fully made”.

The current WWE Performance Center opened in 2013 and serves as the training ground for WWE’s developmental talent in NXT, as well as a rehabilitation center for main roster superstars. It also houses the television studio where weekly episodes of NXT, EVOLVE, and WWE LFG are typically filmed. As of this writing, WWE has yet to comment on the reported plans.
