WWE could be closing in on signing a talent they have had their eyes on for years.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the professional wrestling juggernaut is interested in signing 31-year-oldĀ Angelico. He is a former Lucha Underground star who announced his departure from the company this past April.
WWE and Angelico have been having on-and-off again discussions over the years, but his deal with Lucha Underground was always a big road block.
Now WWE could finally pull the trigger on signing the South African to a deal. He has been wrestling since 2007 when he got his start for WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T’s now-defunctĀ Pro Wrestling Alliance: Africa promotion.
The formerĀ Lucha Underground Trios Champion andĀ AAA World Tag Team Champion has worked for several promotions throughout his career such as AAA and PWG. His last match took place in Dublin, Ireland at theĀ OTT That Ring Really Tied The Room Together show where he lost toĀ Mike Bailey.
