WWE Ring Announcers Are Changing Brands

As WWE heads into the new year, changes are coming to Raw and SmackDown as SmackDown extends to three hours starting this Friday while the Raw on Netflix era begins next week.

In addition to moving from the USA Network to the streaming service, Raw will also extend to three hours. There will also be changes when it comes to who is handling the ring announcing duties.

PWInsider.com reports Lilian Garcia is expected to do the intros for Friday Night Smackdown starting tomorrow. The report adds that “Alica Taylor will be shifted to Raw to handle the ring announcing there going forward starting with the Netflix premiere.”

Garcia returned to WWE in October to be back full-time as a ring announcer after Samantha Irvin opted to leave the company after not coming to terms for outside projects.

As previously reported, Joe Tessitore is moving to SmackDown while Michael Cole and Pat McAfee return to Raw.
