WWE Tag Team Champions DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) vs. Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) in a Two Out Of Three Falls Match took place at the WWE Royal Rumble Premium Live Event on Saturday night from Indianapolis, IN at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The heels had a strong start as they beat down Sabin. After a fake tag, DIY gets the first fall. DIY with a double team move as the referee wasn’t looking. Sabin with a crossbody from the ring post to the floor. MCMG with their finisher to Gargano to score a fall. Ciampa with project Ciampa to Sabin for 2. MCMG with a blockbuster to Ciampa for 2. A masked man was on the apron until Angelo Dawkins hit Shelley with a crutch. This allowed DIY to hit their finisher on Shelley for the win.
Winner: DIY
Post-match, DIY was attacked by Street Profits. This comes after DIY had attacked Street Profits. Michael Cole explained they did so because they wanted to take the titles from the champions themselves.
