The 2018 Royal Rumble pay-per-view kicked off with the Handicap match featuring AJ Styles defending against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. WWE likes to kick things off hot and there is a ton of stuff that needs to be crammed into this show so it’s not surprising that this match went on first.
Styles beat the odds and managed to counter a pop-up powerbomb from Owens. He rolled him up and pinned him to retain. After the match, Owens and Zayn complained to Shane McMahon backstage because Owens was not the legal man.
