WWE is days away from presenting this year’s Royal Rumble PLE from Indianapolis, IN, at Lucas Oil Stadium. With the importance of the event as it starts the road to WrestleMania 41 and WWE usually bringing in former stars, there are a lot of rumors going around heading into the event.
The main event for the WWE Royal Rumble has yet to be announced, but it’s expected to be the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Other matches include Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens in a Ladder Match, the Women’s Royal Rumble Match, and WWE Tag Team Champions DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) vs. Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin in a Two Out Of Three Falls Match.
Fightful Select noted that “There was talk of WWE wrestlers mentioning “40 person” Royal Rumbles. This is not the plan and hasn’t been discussed or planned.”
