Cody Rhodes vs. Oba Femi took place at the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event from Washington, DC at the Capital One Arena.
This bout kicked off the show. They went back and forth with the crowd fully behind Cody. Oba started to throw him around the ring. Cody tried to rally and did so after Oba missed a spear and ate the ring post. Cody fired up with a powerslam. Oba cut him off with an uppercut then a spinebuster. Oba tossed him to the floor then sent him over the announce table with an uppercut. Cody was bleeding from his ear badly. Cody with the an avalanche Cody cutter for 2. Drew McIntyre ran in and attacked Cody, causing the DQ. Oba stopped him and pushed him down. Cody hit a cutter to Drew then Oba laid him out with a chokeslam.
