WWE capped off their 1-year celebration with Solo Sikoa winning the NXT North American Championship from Carmelo Hayes. The story there is that Sikoa is bringing more gold to The Bloodline but there was another big story unfolding at the very end of the show.
After Sikoa’s win, they played a video package that was narrated by Shawn Michaels that talked about NXT being about developing talent and looking towards the future.
At the end of the video package, the multi-color NXT 2.0 logo was replaced by an updated version of the black and gold logo (this one is more white and gold), apparently to signify that the look of the show is going to change. We should know more by tomorrow because that is when next week’s show will be taped.
If this sticks, this will be a welcome change for those fans that have been clamoring for the brand to go back to what it was before Vince McMahon decided that the brand needed an overhaul last September. If you missed it, click below to watch the video package that aired at the end of the broadcast with the updated logo.
