WWE says it’s “unlikely” that Seth Rollins will be able to compete at WrestleMania

Seth Rollins is set to appear on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. The advertisements from WWE say that he will address his condition after injuring his knee during the beatdown from Samoa Joe from a few weeks ago and the WWE website is teasing that Rollins will miss WrestleMania. In fact, they are saying that he is “unlikely” to compete on the show this year, which would mean that this would be the second year in a row that he would miss out on a big money match on the biggest show of the year. They are teasing that Rollins would either be confirming that news or that he’ll have an entirely different message for Triple H and Samoa Joe. What we do know for sure is that he will not be wrestling at next Sunday’s WWE Fastlane pay-per-view where he was supposed to take on Samoa Joe.

The real story on Rollins is that the company is expecting that he’ll be ready in time for Mania so it’s looking like we’ll finally see Triple H vs. Rollins. That match was supposed to happen last year so this is almost 2 years in the making. Rollins has a torn MCL and thankfully, his injury is not as bad as his first knee injury. If for some reason, WWE decides that he is not ready, then Rollins would be back in time for the Payback pay-per-view in April but all indications are that he will be ready in time for Mania in Orlando.

Also, on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Bill Goldberg returns to hype his match with Kevin Owens. Brock Lesnar is also being advertised for the show so it’s possible that we’ll see a confrontation involving Owens, Goldberg, and Lesnar. I should note that Lesnar was at Raw last week but he did not appear in front of the live crowd and he was at the Raw on the week before that and only appeared in a dark segment so it’s not guaranteed that he’ll appear on the live broadcast this week.

This week’s episode of Raw is the go-home show for WWE Fastlane. Sunday’s Fastlane card will include Goldberg challenging Kevin Ownes for the Universal Championship, Roman Reigns taking on Braun Strowman, Jack Gallagher challenging for Neville’s Cruiserweight title, Bayley defending her Raw Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair, and Gallows & Anderson defending against Enzo & Cass.
