Variety has an article about the problems users have been having signing up for the WWE Network. WWE was quoted in the story stating that “MLBAM, WWE’s tech partner, was overwhelmed and its systems have been unable to process most orders since 9 am due to demand for WWE Network.”
A rep for MLBAM said that the demand exceeded anything they’ve ever seen in the companies history.
That sounds like good news for WWE since MLBAM handles the streaming service for Major League Baseball’s MLB.TV. WWE needed about 1 million signups to break even on the network.
