Ronda Rousey made her return to WWE at last weekend’s Royal Rumble as she was a surprise entry in the Women’s Royal Rumble match where she eliminated Charlotte Flair was done to set up their WrestleMania match for the SmackDown Women’s Title.
Up to this point, Rousey had been out of action since WrestleMania 35 as she started a family. Some fans thought the former Raw Women’s Champion Ronda had ring rust in the bout. Whether you agreed with this or not that doesn’t mean Rousey didn’t train for the comeback.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE sent a ring to Rousey’s home so she could train in addition to going to the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida at least one point.
Rousey’s stay with WWE is expected to last about a year and she’s expected to work WrestleMania 38 and WrestleMania 39. She will appear on tonight’s SmackDown to make her match with Flair official for WrestleMania 38.
