WWE Has ‘Significant Interest’ In Signing AAA Star

According to a new report from WrestleVotes, WWE has “significant interest” in bringing another top star from Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide to its main roster. The talent in question is the legendary luchador, Psycho Clown.

The report notes that WWE is intrigued by Psycho Clown’s unique character and sees major potential in the marketing opportunities that would come with him.

“We are told WWE has a significant interest in making yet another AAA star a prominent part of their main roster, that being Pyscho Cown. Psycho Clown, who is a third-generation wrestler, has been working under this current gimmick with AAA since 2007 and has also appeared briefly on TNA TV back in 2019. WWE is said to be intrigued by his character and the marketing abilities that are attached to it.”

This news comes as WWE continues to integrate with AAA following its acquisition of the Mexican promotion. Psycho Clown is one of AAA’s biggest and most loyal stars, having been a cornerstone of the company for over 15 years.

He was recently announced as one of the AAA stars appearing at WWE’s SuperShow live events in Mexico this July.
