WWE has signed independent wrestling star Shotzi Blackheart to a developmental contract, as first reported by Squared Circle Sirens.
The 26-year-old has wrestled for RISE Wrestling, IWA Mid-South, and SHINE among other promotions. Some WWE fans may recognize her from the 2015 Tough Enough revival where she was ruled out from the show because of an irregular heartbeat.
Her health issues were resolved and she was later invited to a tryout at the Performance Center in 2016 but she was not signed at the time.
She is currently scheduled to wrestle on Impact Wrestling’s “All Glory” Twitch show on October 19. If she is allowed to finish her current commitments then that would be one of her final independent dates before moving on to the WWE Performance Center.
