WWE had cut way back on signing wrestlers on the free-agent market as well as signing new big-money deals to talent under contract with them last year.
In fact, last April, WWE released several wrestlers and employees due to budget cuts related to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the mentality of signing talent has changed.
Fightful Select reported today that Christian Casanova has signed a WWE deal. He’s slated to be part of an upcoming Performance Center class. Casanova nor WWE has yet to comment on the signing.
Casanova is a seven-year pro and based out of the northeast portion of the United States. He’s wrestled for the likes of Beyond Wrestling, GCW and EVOLVE in addition to being the current Limitless Wrestling Champion.
It was added that WWE has resumed signings as usual and some of the classes of new recruits are smaller than in the past.
