Welcome to the WWE SmackDown Pre-Show, and we are live on the WWE Network. Renee Young, Booker T, Lita, and Corey Graves hype the WWE Draft. WWE announced that John Cena would wrestle Luke Gallows in a singles match on the show.
Dean Ambrose cuts a promo about which brand he could be drafted too. Ambrose said that it would be annoying to be on RAW because he would have to deal with Stephanie McMahon. Ambrose said that it would be cool to work with Shane on SmackDown, but he is not in control of his future. Ambrose vowed to walk out of SmackDown as WWE Champion. Highlights of the main event of Monday’s RAW was shown.
WWE also announced that Charlotte and Dana Brooke would wrestle Sasha Banks in a 2-on-1 Handicap match. During a backstage segment, Xavier Woods announced that he would wrestle Bray Wyatt on the show. There were a series of videos of previous WWE Drafts.
Welcome to Tuesday Night SmackDown on the USA Network. Shane McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Mick Foley and Daniel Bryan walk out to the stage for the first pick of the draft. Foley and Stephanie announced that Seth Rollins would be drafted to RAW. Stephanie vowed that Rollins would be WWE Champion by the end of the night. Shane and Bryan announced that SmackDown would draft Dean Ambrose. Foley said that they agreed that RAW needed a strong women’s wrestler on RAW and their second pick is Charlotte. Stephanie said that Shane looked a bit worried after that pick. Shane announced the second pick for SmackDown, and that is AJ Styles. Foley drafted Finn Balor to RAW. This led to John Cena walking out for his match. Enzo Amore and Big Cass walk down to the ring and do their normal entrance.
Singles Match: John Cena (with Amore and Big Cass) vs. Luke Gallows (The Club).
Gallows and Cena lock up. Gallows knocked him down, and we cut to break. WWE is doing a split screen thing with action from the show on one side and a commercial on the other.
-Commercial Break-
During the break, Gallows beat down Cena with a series of rights. Cena missed a splash, went for an AA but fell due to the weight of Gallows. Cena caught a kick and hit a shoulder block. Cena with the five knuckle shuffle but was cut off by Gallows with a big boot. The Club and Big Cass and Amore start arguing then Amore and Cass dumped The Club to the floor. Cena hit an AA to Gallows for the win.
Winner: Cena.
The announcers hype Ambrose and Rollins for later in the show.
-Commercial Break-
The GM’s and commissions are back on the stage. Foley selected Roman Reigns for RAW. Shane selected John Cena. Stephanie announced that RAW had drafted Brock Lesnar. Bryan selected Randy Orton for SmackDown. Stephanie announced that RAW drafts The New Day as Foley did a drum roll. Back to action…
Tag Team Match: Rusev and Miz vs. Darren Young and Zack Ryder.
Young and Rusev started things off. Rusev beat down Young with right hands. Miz was tagged in and put the boots to him. Young fought back and tagged in Ryder, who hit a springboard splash. Ryder sent Miz into the corner and hit some clotheslines. Ryder was distracted by Rusev and Miz pulled him down from the middle rope. Miz with a big boot for 2. Miz hit a neck breaker for 2. Rusev with a suplex to Ryder. Rusev was tagged in and Ryder hit a neck breaker. Young and Miz got the hot tags. Young hit a series of clotheslines to Miz then a suplex. Young hit the gut check for 2 as Rusev broke it up. Rusev with a slam to Young. Ryder took out Rusev with a drop kick to the floor. Young with the cross face chicken wing to Miz for the win.
Winners: Young and Ryder.
Singles Match: Xavier Woods vs. Bray Wyatt.
Wyatt tried to talk to Woods when the match started then attacked him. Wyatt put the boots to him and then hit a big chokeslam. Wyatt with a back splash. Woods fought back with some right hands then a knee strike. Wyatt popped up and hit Sister Abigail for the win.
Winner: Wyatt.
-Commercial Break-
There was supposed to be a match between Kevin Owens and Kane but Sami Zayn ran down and attacked Owens. Owens tossed Zayn into Kane, but Kane grabbed Owens as well and choke slammed both Owens and Zayn.
Stephanie said that RAW is the number one show and picked Sami Zayn. Shane picked Bray Wyatt for SmackDown. Stephanie said that she was glad that Shane picked Bray Wyatt because he is creepy. Foley picked Sasha Banks for RAW. Bryan said that they missed out on a great pick which is Becky Lynch, and SmackDown selected her. Foley picked up his notes and made some changes. Foley selected Chris Jericho for RAW.
-Commercial Break-
2-On-1 Handicap Match: Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte and Dana Brooke.
Brooke and Banks start things off. Banks sent Brooke into Charlotte then rolled her up for 2. Banks caught her with a right hand then took out Charlotte with a knee strike off the apron. Brooke then a shoulder blocked Banks. Back in the ring, Brooke landed some big right hands. Banks fought back with some right hands then went for the Bank Statement, but Brooke blocked. Charlotte was tagged in as Banks hit the Bank Statement to Brooke. Charlotte with the Natural Selection to Banks for the win.
Winners: Charlotte and Dana Brooke
Back to the draft. Foley picked Rusev for RAW with Lana. Bryan selected The Miz for SmackDown with Maryse. Stephanie selected Kevin Owens for RAW. Shane picked Baron Corbin for SmackDown and Foley said that SmackDown’s picks were SAWFT. Foley picked Enzo Amore and Big Cass for RAW.
-Commercial Break-
Singles Match: Cesaro vs. Chris Jericho.
They start brawling then Cesaro hit an outside dive followed by an uppercut. Back in the ring, Cesaro hit a crossbody for 2. Jericho rolled him up for 2. Jericho with an enzuigiri and covered him for 2. Jericho with a headlock to Cesaro but Cesaro fought out of it. They exchange pin attempts then Cesaro hit a big boot. Cesaro went to the top rope but Jericho knocked him down. Jericho went to the top rope hit a hurricanrana for 2. Jericho went for the Code Breaker but blocked, and Cesaro hit a series of uppercuts. Jericho with a big boot and a back elbow. Cesaro hit a neck breaker off the second rope for 2. Cesaro with a Giant Wing to Jericho and then a double foot stomp. Cesaro went for a springboard move, but Jericho caught him in midair and hit the Codebreaker for the win.
Winner: Jericho.
-Commercial Break-
We’re back from break with Natalya and Becky Lynch brawling at ringside. They get separated by the referees.
Stephanie selected Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson for RAW while Bryan picked American Alpha for SmackDown. Foley picked The Big Show for RAW while Shane picked Dolph Ziggler for SmackDown. Stephanie picked Nia Jax for RAW.
-Commercial Break-
Stephanie selected Neville for RAW while Bryan picked Natalya for SmackDown. Foley said the next pick had been underused, and that is Cesaro. Shane said that they are adding a little fire to their roster, and that’s Alberto Del Rio. Foley picked Sheamus for RAW. That is the final TV pick, and the Draft will continue on the WWE Network.
WWE Title Match: Dean Ambrose © vs. Seth Rollins.
They start brawling to begin the match then sent Ambrose into the ring post.
-Commercial Break-
We’re back with Rollins putting the boots to him then hit a suplex. Rollins sent him hard into the corner to further the beat down. Rollins sent Ambrose to the floor, but Ambrose fought back with some right hands. Rollins sent Ambrose into the barricade then Ambrose back dropped Rollins over the barricade. Ambrose missed a dive and crashed into the barricade. Back in the ring, Rollins hit a springboard knee for 2.
-Commercial Break-
Ambrose exploded out of the corner and hit a clothesline. Ambrose with few more clotheslines then a roll up fo 2. Ambrose hit a neck breaker for 2. Ambrose went to the top rope and Rollins kicked him in the gut then hit a powerbomb in the corner. Rollins went to the top rope and missed a frog splash and Ambrose rolled him up for 2. Rollins poked him in the eye and went for the Pedigree but Ambrose back body dropped him to the floor. Ambrose with an outside dive taking out Rollins. Ambrose hit an elbow drop off the top rope to take out Rollins. Ambrose went to the top rope, but Rollins met him up there and hit a superplex. Ambrose rolled through and hit Dirty Deeds for the win.
Winner: Ambrose.
Shane and Bryan ran down to the ring and celebrated with Ambrose in the ring to close the show.
