The overnight ratings are in for Friday’s WWE SmackDown episode from Phoenix.
The episode drew an average of 2.237 million viewers, which is down from last Friday’s SmackDown episode that did an average of 2.499 million viewers on FOX, according to Spoiler TV.
The first hour did 2.213 million viewers while the second hour did 2.260 million viewers. To compare, a week ago, the first hour had 2.575 million viewers and the second hour had 2.422 million viewers.
It also pulled in an average of 0.55 rating in the 18-49 demographic. That is down from the 0.60 rating in the 18-49 demographic the show did last week.
The reason last week’s ratings were so high was due to SmackDown being preempted by local NFL preseason games on FOX. It should be noted that the ratings for Friday’s show also include some viewers who watched NFL games. This is the overnight number and the actual rating won’t be released until Monday. SmackDown was in the middle of the pack for the night among the networks in viewership.
Preliminary rating for WWE Smackdown last night on Fox is 2.237 million viewers (Hr1: 2.213M, Hr2: 2.260M). That probably includes viewing of NFL preseason in some markets, though fewer than last week.
Wait for final ratings Monday, which will sort out Smackdown viewing. https://t.co/N8ALp9fsFp
