WWE SmackDown 9/3/21 viewership holds steady, key demo rises for Universal Title headliner

The latest edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown saw the ratings be mixed for a big-time main event.

Friday’s show averaged 2.220 million viewers on FOX, which is down from last week’s show that did 2.250 million viewers, according to ShowBuzz Daily.

In the all-important 18-49 demographic, the show did a 0.62 rating, up from the 0.59 rating last week. Here’s the breakdown in each demo for the show:

Viewers 18-34 – 0.35
Viewers 18-49 – 0.62
Viewers 25-54 – 0.74
Female viewers 18-49 – 4.7
Male viewers 18-49 – 6.3
Viewers 50+ – 2.9

The episode featured Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. Finn Balor, SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. The Street Profits in a non-title match, Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro, and more.

This Friday, WWE has loaded up the card for the show as it includes an appearance by Brock Lesnar and Edge vs. Seth Rollins, which is a rematch from SummerSlam.
