WWE Smackdown Live viewership drops against the ALCS game between the Indians/Yankees
This week’s episode of WWE Smackdown Live suffered from heavy competition from the American League Championship Series and NBA Opening Night.
Smackdown drew 2,320,000 viewers. That is down from last week’s 2,467,000 viewers. Things will probably get worse next week because Game 1 of the World Series begins on Tuesday night on FOX. If the Yankees make it in this year then World Series ratings will probably be higher than previous years because big market teams generally draw more viewers.
Next week’s WWE Smackdown Live is being advertised around the return of Shane McMahon, presumably, to set up a 4 vs. 4 match at Survivor Series. Also, AJ Styles will take on Samir Singh.
