WWE SmackDown Live viewership for 7/4/17: Despite John Cena’s return, viewership drops for holiday show

This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live did 2,329,000 viewers. This is down from the 2,603,000 viewers the show did last week. John Cena, who has not been seen on WWE programming since WrestleMania 33 in April, made his return to WWE TV on this show. Historically, WWE draws poor ratings on July 4th.
