WWE SmackDown Card Tonight
As of this writing, WWE has announced:
- Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton come face to face
- Paige vs. Nikki Bella
- R-Truth vs. Damian Priest
CM Punk, Kevin Owens, Gunther, United States Champion Trick Williams, Jade Cargill and Stratton are also advertised for the show.
Cody Rhodes And Randy Orton
Rhodes asked SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis on last week’s SmackDown in Lafayette, Louisiana, to get Orton in the ring with him. Orton was not at that show. In a segment filmed earlier that day, Aldis confronted Orton over his attack on Rhodes the week before, and Orton said he would fly home. Orton told Aldis that Rhodes will hesitate the next time he has a chance to kick him in the head.
On the October 2 SmackDown, Orton cost Rhodes the final spot in the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Kevin Owens won the triple threat over Rhodes and Johnny Gargano after Orton pulled the referee out of the ring to stop a Rhodes pin.
Rhodes’ appearance comes on the day Street Fighter, in which he plays Guile, opens in theaters.
Paige Vs. Nikki Bella
Bella beat Paige when they met last month with help from the ropes. Bella has also gone after WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green, telling Green on last week’s show that she will take her title.
R-Truth Vs. Damian Priest
Priest has blamed Truth, his former tag team partner, for holding him back. Last week, Priest said he could be a champion again if he had not spent his time teaming with Truth. Fraxiom then told Priest to apologize to Truth, and Priest attacked them. Truth attacked Priest from behind, and officials separated them.
