In the ring, John Cena said he will be hosting Payback tomorrow. He thanked the fans for supporting him for two decades. Jimmy Uso got in the ring. The crowd chanted, “We want Jey.” Jimmy asked Cena what he was doing here. Jimmy said he saved Jey because he loves him. He didn’t want Jey to be corrupted by Roman Reigns just like he wouldn’t want him to be corrupted by Cena. Jimmy said Cena is just like Roman in that they take and take. The only difference is Cena does it with a smile. Cena told Jimmy that the wrong Uso quit. Jimmy went to superkick Cena, but Cena caught him with the Attitude Adjustment.
Backstage, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller said they will defeat Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar tonight. Waller will have Cody Rhodes as a guest on The Grayson Waller Effect at Payback.
Rey Mysterio & Santos Escobar (w/ Zelina Vega) vs Grayson Waller & Austin Theory
Escobar gave Waller a hurricanrana off the top rope. Mysterio flipped Theory out of the ring. Escobar kicked Waller off the apron. Theory went to spear Mysterio, but Escobar pushed Mysterio out of the way and Escobar took the spear. Waller came in and gave Escobar the Rolling Thunder from Down Under and pinned him.

Backstage, Jimmy Uso interrupted Michin who was talking with Adam Pearce. Pearce said this is the reason why he called him in here was to tell him he can’t be rude to everybody. Uso asked if that was it. Pearce said, yes, and Uso said, okay.
Backstage, Michin told The O.C. that Jimmy Uso disrespected her. They told her not to get involved with The Bloodline. AJ Styles came in and Michin told him Jimmy disrespected her. The O.C. said it’s not a big deal. AJ told The O.C. it is a big deal and he will handle this.
In the ring, Bobby Lashley said everybody is asking him what’s going on with him and The Street Profits. He said real recognizes real and great recognizes great and that’s why he recognizes The Street Profits. The Street Profits came out. The Street Profits said tonight is about them giving gratitude to Lashley because it’s been a long time since they had this much success. Lashley said they are putting the entire WWE on notice. They are coming for power, control, and championship gold.
Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde (w/ Zelina Vega)
Del Toro gave Owens a flying elbow and a backflip kick. Owens hit Del Toro with a pop-up powerbomb. Zayn hit Del Toro with the Helluva Kick and Owens gave him a stunner and pinned him.

After the match, Sami Zayn said The Judgment Day better bring everything they have because at Payback, they are in for the fight of their lives.
Backstage, AJ Styles told Jimmy Uso nobody wants him here. Uso pushed Styles. Styles pushed him back and Uso fell down. Solo attacked Styles from behind. Solo told Jimmy he’s out of The Bloodline when they say he’s out of The Bloodline. Jimmy said not him, Roman, or Paul can tell him anything and he walked off.
Backstage, Styles said they think The Bloodline runs everything, but they don’t. He challenged Solo. Gallows and Anderson told Styles he doesn’t need to get involved in The Bloodline drama. Styles said The Bloodline needs to be reminded this is the house that AJ Styles built.
In the ring, The Miz said LA Knight is not at his level. LA Knight came out. Knight told Miz he had the advantage of coming to WWE off a reality show. Miz said Knight was on a reality show as well, The Hero, but nobody remembers it because he was eliminated in the first round. The Miz gave Knight the Skull Crushing Finale and told him that’s his future. Knight jumped The Miz as he was walking back up the aisle and The Miz escaped as officials tried to break them up.
Bayley (w/ Dakota Kai & IYO SKY) vs Shotzi
Bayley flung Shotzi off the top turnbuckle. Bayley asked for IYO’s belt to use on Shotzi. Charlotte Flair came down the aisle and kicked IYO before IYO could hit her with the belt. Charlotte threw her against the barricade. Dakota got on the ring apron to argue with Shotzi. With the referee distracted trying to get Dakota off the ring apron, Charlotte decked Bayley. Shotzi hit Bayley with a DDT and pinned her.

Solo Sikoa vs AJ Styles
Paul Heyman came to ringside early in the match to be in Solo’s corner. Styles hit Solo with a forearm. Styles was setting up the Phenomenal Forearm. With the referee distracted, Jimmy Uso knocked Styles off the ring apron. Solo hit Styles with the Samoan Spike and pinned him. Jimmy hugged Solo after the match, but Solo threatened to spike him until Heyman told him not to. Solo and Heyman left the ring. Jimmy superkicked Styles and gave him a Uso splash off the top rope.
