Charlotte Flair backs out of War Games

Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY came to the ring. Ripley said The Kabuki Warriors, Nia Jax, and Lash Legend think they have the advantage because they have the numbers. IYO said, ‘War Games.” Rhea introduced Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss as their teammates. Charlotte told Rhea she doesn’t like her, doesn’t trust her, and thinks she’s a snake because there’s too much bad blood. Just because they have the same enemies, she can’t look past this. She told Bliss that if she wants to do this, that’s fine, but count me out. Charlotte then left the ring.

Last Time is Now Tournament Match: Jey Uso vs The Miz

Miz gave Jey the five knuckle shuffle. Jey blocked the AA and delivered a superkick to Miz. Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale for a near fall. Miz went for another one off the second rope, but Jey blocked it and delivered a spear. Jey then went to the top rope, delivered the Uso splash, and pinned him to advance in the tournament.

Winner: Jey Uso

Backstage:

  • Tommaso Ciampa told SmackDown GM Nick Aldis that he deserves a shot at the United States Championship held by Ilja Dragunov. Ilja said he wants to defend the title against challengers with honor and respect and said Ciampa doesn’t have that. So tonight, he’s giving the shot to Axiom.
  • Aldis walked away and saw Paul Heyman and Bronson Reed. Heyman told Aldis he needs to talk to him, so they went into Heyman’s dressing room as they went to a commercial break

Backstage:

Back from the commercial break, Aldis was out of the office and on the phone calling for security to his office. Heyman and Reed showed up. Aldis asked what he can do for them before they are escorted from the building. Heyman said according to the War Games contract, he can take anybody across all brands. Aldis said he already knows this, and asked them to leave. Security entered followed by Cody Rhodes. Cody told Reed if he’s not here to fight, he needs to leave. Cody asked Aldis for a match against Reed tonight. Heyman said the title should be on the line. Cody and Aldis agreed to the match.

United States Championship Match: Ilja Dragunov (Champion) vs Axiom

Axiom caught Dragunov in an armlock. Dragunov escaped and hit him with a powerbomb. Axiom blocked the H-Bomb and hit him with a Tornado DDT for a near fall. Axiom hit him with a Spanish Fly off the top rope. Dragunov hit Axiom with the Torpedo Moscow and the H-Bomb to pin him and retain his championship. The two hugged after the match.

Winner and still United States Champion: Ilja Dragunov

Backstage:

Chelsea Green told Nick Aldis her championship celebration was tonight, but he cancelled it. She will forgive him if she can have it next week with pyro. Aldis said he thinks he can make that happen as they went to a commercial.

Back from the commercial break:

They showed footage of Ciampa attacking Axiom during the commercial break.

Solo Sikoa – Sami Zayn altercation

Solo came out and said Sami doesn’t care about anybody except himself. Solo said he cares about his family. He entered the ring with the MFTs on the ring apron. Solo told Sami that he won’t drop him here because he’s going to wait until he’s medically cleared. Sami said he doesn’t have to wait because as of tonight, he’s cleared, and challenged Solo to do something about it now as he didn’t come alone.

MFT turned around and got ambushed by the Motor City Machine Guns, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Rey Fenix. They all fought outside the ring while Solo and Sami fought inside the ring. Talla Tonga pulled Solo outside the ring to avoid the Helluva Kick. The MFT ganged up on Sami until the babyfaces reentered the ring to turn them away.

Backstage:

The Usos said they have Cody Rhode’s back tonight. Jimmy said count him in at War Games.

Backstage:

Solo Sikoa told Nick Aldis he wants Sami Zayn. Aldis told him that in two weeks, before War Games, he can team with the MFT against Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, Rey Fenix, and the Motor City Machine Guns in a regular Survivor Series Tag Team match.

As they walked away, we saw Uncle Howdy in the background.

Last Time is Now Tournament Match: LA Knight vs Zach Ryder

Zach Ryder returned to WWE as part of the tournament under his WWE name and old ring entrance music. Ryder hit Knight with the Rough Ryder for a near fall. Ryder came off the top rope and Knight caught him with a powerbomb. Knight then hit the BFT and pinned him.

Winner: LA Knight

Backstage:

Alexa Bliss tried to tell Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY that she can try to convince Charlotte to still be part of the team. The Kabuki Warriors, Nia Jax, and Lash Legend attacked them and left them laying.

Jade Cargill vs B-Fab (w/Michin)

Jade gave B-Fab two powerbombs and followed it up with Jaded and pinned her.  After the match, Jade pushed Michin down.

Winner: Jade Cargill

Backstage:

Nick Aldis drew two more matches for the Last Time is Now tournament for next week. It will be Carmelo Hayes vs Bronson Reed and Penta vs Finn Balor.

Also announced for next week is Fraxiom vs #DIY

Backstage:

Carmelo Hayes said the Miz may have won the battle, but he’s going to win the war as this isn’t over. He said he is determined to win the Last Time is Now Tournament. Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman entered. Reed said he’s going to end Cody Rhodes. Then he’s going to end John Cena’s career after he ends Hayes.

Pre-taped interview:

Aleister Black and Zelina reviewed the history they have with Priest. Black said he now has his sites set on greater things and that’s people holding World Titles.

Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (Champion) vs Bronson Reed (w/ Paul Heyman)

Cody and Reed fought back and forth and outside the ring. Cody sent Reed over the barricade.

Bron Breakker and Logan Paul came out and attacked Cody Rhodes. The Usos came in and fended off Paul and Breakker. The Usos gave Logan the 1-D. They brought a table into the ring and put Logan on the table.

The Uso were setting up the stereo Uso splash when the suspended Drew McIntyre entered and knocked Jimmy off the turnbuckle. Aldis came out and argued with Heyman who kept saying, “anybody”, in reference to their conversation they had earlier in the evening.

Breakker then speared Jey into the table in the corner. Cody made his way back into the ring and Drew hit him with a Claymore. Reed then hit Cody with a Tsunami. Heyman handed Drew the contract which appears that he will be part of Heyman’s War Games team.
