WWE SmackDown spoilers (6/30/23) from London, England

Due to the time difference, WWE SmackDown in London is being taped a few hours before it airs in the United States.

An “In Memory of Darren Drozdov” graphic was shown before the tapings started.

The show kicked off with Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens defending against Pretty Deadly. The champions retained after Sami hit the Helluva kick on Kit Wilson to get the pin.

There was a backstage interview with Adam Pearce that was interrupted by The Brawling Brutes. Sheamus wants to fight Solo Sikoa. Pearce announced that Ridge Holland would face United States Champion Austin Theory in a non-title match. Ridge would get a title shot in the future if he could beat Theory tonight.

Theory won the match with a dropkick. An unusual way to end the match but that wasn’t so unusual 30 years ago so it looks like they are trying to protect that move as his finisher. Theory continued to attack after the match but Sheamus made the save.

Karrion Kross video aired to hype his match with AJ Styles next week.

Up next as Bayley vs. Shotzi. If Bayley loses then she would lose her spot in the Women’s Money In The Bank match. Bayley won the match and she will stay in the MITB match.

Grayson Waller welcomed Logan Paul as his guest on The Grayson Waller Effect. LA Knight interrupted the segment and then they transitioned into Knight vs. Santos Escobar vs. Butch in a Triple Threat Match. This was scrapped from last week’s show. Butch won the match by pinning Escobar.

Up next is Charlotte Flair challenging Asuka for the WWE Women’s Championship. Bianca Belair was barred from ringside but she was seated in the crowd during this match. Asuka retained because the referee called for a disqualification due to interference from Belair. A brawl broke out and Belair put Charlotte through a table with the KOD.

Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa were out for the final segment. Roman said he wanted to give The Usos another chance. There were huge chants for Solo and they seemed to tease that Solo might be conflicted heading into the match tomorrow at Money In The Bank. Then The Usos came out, Roman told Jey that “you’re nothing without me.” A a big fight broke out. During the brawl, some officials took kicks to the face from The Usos and Jey took a Superman punch. Reigns also manhandled some of the security. Tomorrow, Roman and Solo will face Jimmy and Jey at the MITB PLE. Jey dove onto Solo and the officials who were at ringside.
