WWE SmackDown rating for 7/26/16: solid numbers for first brand split show

Tuesday’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live scored a 1.92 rating, which is down from the 2.20 rating the show drew last week. The show did 2,743 million viewers, which is down from the 3,170 million viewers the show did last Tuesday. The dip from last week was expected since last week’s show was the heavily hyped draft show. This week’s viewership numbers were well above what they were  averaging on Thursday so WWE should be happy about that.

SmackDown Live ranked 2nd in the top 150 shows on cable for the night and they were up against stiff competition from the Democratic National Convention. This was the first episode of SmackDown in the brand extension era.
