WWE SmackDown will air on FS1 on October 29, Talking Smack will go head-to-head with AEW Rampage

Due to FOX’s World Series coverage, WWE Friday Night SmackDown will once again move to FS1 on October 29. As of now, the plan is for a 2-hour show and there will be a 1-hour episode of Talking Smack at 10 pm eastern to go head-to-head with AEW Rampage. FS1 plans on airing a SmackDown replay at 11 pm eastern.

The numbers for both SmackDown and Rampage will likely drop to the lowest levels of the year because of the World Series so don’t expect either company to load up their shows this time.

This past Friday, WWE countered AEW by running a 2 and a half hour episode of SmackDown. The last half hour of the show had no commercials and it was loaded with Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch and the contract signing between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. AEW aired the opening match between CM Punk and Matt Sydal without commercials.

The 10/29 episode of Rampage will be a taped show and the matches will be taped at the Agganis Arena in Boston, MA after the 10/27 episode of Dynamite.
