WWE presented a special event, Smackville, on the WWE Network on Saturday night.
Basically, they aired a portion of the card that took place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN.
The announcers were Tom Philips and David Otunga.
The first match was supposed to be Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura defending against Finn Balor but Ali took Balor’s place because Balor was not cleared to compete. Nakamura won the match with the Kinshasa.
Elias went out to the ring for a performance. He was interrupted by Kevin Owens and that led to a match with Owens winning via pin after hitting the Stone Cold Stunner.
In the main event, Kofi Kingston defended his WWE Championship against Dolph Ziggler and Samoa Joe in a Triple Threat Match. Kingston pinned Joe after hitting the Trouble in Paradise.
