WWE source doesn’t believe Jeff Hardy was impaired during house show match last weekend

Someone who was backstage at the Edinburgh, TX show last Saturday reached out to WrestlingNews.co about Jeff Hardy and we were told by this person that it did not look like Hardy was under the influence before the show.

This person told us, “I saw him before that match and there was nothing out of the usual going on with him. Jeff deals with back and knee issues but I don’t think he drank anything or took any pills before that show. As far as I know, he’s been doing great since the DUI arrest from a couple years back. I know people are wondering why he would be allowed to go out there if he was f*cked up but he looked fine before the match.”

Several fans at the show noted that Hardy looked sluggish during the six-man tag team match. When he disappeared through the crowd, Hardy took time to take photos with fans and while he appeared to be moving slower than usual, he looked nothing like he did when he was impaired during his Victory Road 2011 match with Sting.

Both Matt Hardy and Jeff’s wife Britt Hardy noted this week that Jeff is back at home and he is doing well. WWE reportedly wanted him to go to rehab and he declined and that is when they made the decision to release him.

Matt sent out a cryptic tweet on Friday night hinting that fans may see Team Xtreme reunited again in the near future.

Here is the footage of Hardy after he tagged out of the match last Saturday:
