WWE Star Has Been Placed In Concussion Protocol

A WWE star has reportedly been placed in concussion protocol following last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw, though the specific identity of the talent has not yet been confirmed.

On today’s edition of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez reported that he was told a wrestler is currently in protocol, but he clarified who it is not. Despite a scary landing during his match, Bron Breakker has been cleared of injury.

“Somebody on Raw last night, I was told, is in concussion protocol today,” Alvarez stated. “It is not Bron Breakker who landed on his head. Bron Breakker was cleared after the show.”

While the specific name remains unconfirmed, Alvarez and co-host Lance Storm discussed potential candidates based on spots that occurred during the broadcast. Alvarez noted that CM Punk had a rough landing during a spot where he went for a tope and Breakker was intended to catch him.

“It’s possible it was CM Punk, because that guy landed right on his face on that… he was going for a tope and Bron was supposed to clobber him out of midair,” Alvarez said. “I don’t know if something went wrong, or whose fault, or what happened, but that guy went straight down and his head bounced off the black mats.”

Alvarez noted that while Punk and Breakker went right to the finish shortly after, Punk “did not look good” after the impact.

Lance Storm also pointed out that Kairi Sane took a Razor’s Edge during her match, noting it is a “high concussion percentage move.” Alvarez agreed that she landed awkwardly on the back of her head, though he observed that she wrestled the remainder of the match as if she were “all there,” whereas Punk appeared visibly shaken up.
