WWE Star Can Run Again 6 Months After “Gruesome” TV Injury

Zoey Stark has provided an encouraging update on her recovery status, revealing that she has reached a significant physical milestone six months after undergoing major knee surgery. The WWE Superstar has been sidelined since May 2025 following a severe injury sustained during a live broadcast of Monday Night Raw.

Taking to X on Saturday, Stark posted a video clip of herself performing sprints and pivoting drills in a gym setting. The footage marks the first time fans have seen her engaging in high-intensity physical activity since her surgery. In the caption, Stark noted that while the process has been lengthy, she has finally reached a point where she can move without pain.

“6 months in and finally able to fully run and pivot pain free,” Stark wrote. “It took some time to get there but we got there. Thank you @optimizeptp one step closer to getting back into the ring!”

Stark’s injury occurred during the May 19, 2025, episode of Monday Night Raw while competing in a Triple Threat Money in the Bank Qualifying match against Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane. While attempting a missile dropkick from the top rope, Stark landed awkwardly on her right leg, causing her knee to buckle. The match was immediately halted for medical personnel to attend to her, and she was helped to the back while the bout continued.

It was later confirmed that Stark had suffered a “unhappy triad” injury, consisting of a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus. This type of injury typically requires a recovery time of nine to 12 months, placing her potential return around mid-2026. Prior to the injury, Stark had been a featured member of the Raw roster, most notably as part of the Pure Fusion Collective faction.

This is not the first time Stark has faced a grueling rehabilitation process for a knee issue. During her time in NXT in 2021, she suffered a similar torn ACL and meniscus that kept her out of action for roughly eight months. Her ability to bounce back from that previous setback has left many within the company optimistic about her resilience during this current recovery period.
