A WWE star may be leaving the company very soon, or at least it appears that way based on some recent social media activity.
Lacey Evans raised some eyebrows this week when she posted a meme that said “How Many Days Left.” That caused fans on social media to speculate that she was counting the days until her WWE contract expires.
It is not clear exactly how much time she has left on her deal but she added more to the speculation within the last 24 hours or so when she changed her social media handles to LimitlessMacey. Her real name is Macey Estrella-Kadlec.
Evans was signed to a WWE deal in 2016 and wrestled in NXT until she was brought up to the main roster in 2019. There were different start and stop pushes and character overhauls done with her but she never was pushed on the level as someone like Becky Lynch or Bianca Belair. Evans hasn’t been prominently featured in a storyline in months and the last time she wrestled was in a dark match losing to Zelina Vega last month.
The Marine Corps veteran was recently involved in a X/Twitter exchange with the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter, who took offense to Evans using the Cobra Clutch. Slaughter has claimed that he turned down an offer to work with Evans earlier this year.
