WWE Star Crashes AAA Show, Enters Mega Championship Match

AAA’s Triplemania XXXIII event last night featured several major developments, including a shocking appearance by WWE’s Dominik Mysterio, the setup for a huge Mega Championship match, and the departure of a former world champion.

Dominik Mysterio Crashes The Party, Enters Mega Title Match

The show saw El Hijo del Vikingo issue an open challenge for the AAA Mega Championship. The challenge was first answered by Dragon Lee, and then by the debuting El Grande Americano. As the three stood in the ring, another masked man appeared and attacked both Lee and Vikingo before unmasking to reveal himself as WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio. Following the chaotic scene, a four-way match for the AAA Mega Championship between Vikingo, Dragon Lee, El Grande Americano, and Dominik Mysterio was made official for Triplemania on August 16.

Alberto El Patron Forced To Leave AAA

In the main event of the evening, Alberto El Patron lost a “Loser Leaves AAA” match to Mesias. The bout was filled with interference from rudos, and the finish came when Mesias threw powder in El Patron’s face and secured a fast-count pinfall. After the match, Latin Lover, who had been feuding with El Patron, came to the ring and the two former rivals shared a handshake and a hug to close the show, seemingly ending El Patron’s run with the promotion.
