WWE Raw superstar Tyler Bate has been noticeably absent from television in recent months, but according to the man himself, it is not due to an injury. The former champion took to Instagram today to provide a brief and cryptic update on his status for concerned fans.
A Man of Few Words
In his social media post, the 28-year-old superstar shared a photo of himself with a simple, two-word caption that has since gotten the wrestling world talking. “Not injured,” Bate wrote. “Waiting…”
The post confirms that Bate is healthy and ready to compete. The “Big Strong Boi” has not wrestled on Raw since March 31, when he and his tag team partner Pete Dunne, collectively known as New Catch Republic, suffered a loss to The New Day. Since then, his only televised appearance was as a participant in the 2025 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown. Bate had previously been sidelined with a torn pectoral muscle in 2024 before making his return to the ring this past March.
An Accomplished Resume
Despite his young age, Tyler Bate has been with WWE for over eight years and has amassed a championship record that rivals many veterans. In 2017, at just 19 years old, he won a tournament to be crowned the first-ever WWE United Kingdom Champion, making him the youngest singles champion in company history. He remains the only superstar to have won the NXT United Kingdom Championship, the NXT UK Tag Team Championship, and the NXT UK Heritage Cup, making him the sole NXT UK Triple Crown winner.
With his partner Pete Dunne, Bate and the New Catch Republic were drafted to Monday Night Raw in the 2024 WWE Draft. As the Raw tag team division continues to heat up with teams like The Judgment Day, The Creed Brothers, and The New Day all vying for the top spot, the eventual return of a healthy and waiting Tyler Bate could provide a major shakeup to the championship picture.
