Although the WWE Draft has come and gone, at least one more star is expected to be moved up from NXT to the main roster.
Blair Davenport, Kiana James, Carmelo Hayes, Baron Corbin, and Dijak were moved from NXT to the main roster across Raw and SmackDown. For the rest of the Draft, All of the champions stayed on their respective brand.
As previously reported by Fightful, the reasons for no talent being officially drafted to NXT included a fear that some talent would see it as a demotion. It was also not done due to issues about the difference between main roster and NXT contracts in WWE.
Pwinsider reports Joe Gacy will be headed to the main roster very soon as he was spotted at WWE Headquarters earlier this week. They were told this was in relation to the call up.
Also, Pwinsider confirmed there have been fears among NXT talent that releases may be coming and they were told there are plans to make cuts with the focus on talent who have not been used and who are not currently in the mix creativity. Sean Ross Sapp and Corey Brennan first reported cuts were expected.
