WWE Star To Face TNA Champion At Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIV

A major inter-promotional dream match has been made official for Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIV event on August 2nd. Following a tense social media exchange, WWE’s Natalya will step into the Bloodsport ring to face current TNA Knockouts World Champion, Masha Slamovich.

Social Media Feud Leads To Bloodsport Bout

The match came together after Natalya made a post reflecting on her time at the WWE Evolution pay-per-view. Slamovich responded, asking Natalya if she was grateful for the women waiting to beat her. After the two exchanged words online, Bloodsport promoter Josh Barnett stepped in to make the match. “If you both are so willing to fight then I’ve got the perfect place for it. Let’s see who gets first blood Aug 2nd,” he wrote.

A High-Stakes Encounter For Both Competitors

This bout marks a return to a more intense, shoot-style environment for the submission specialist Natalya. She will face one of the most formidable champions in wrestling today in Masha Slamovich, who currently holds both the JCW World Championship and the TNA Knockouts World Championship. Before her match with Natalya, Slamovich has a major title-for-title match this Sunday at TNA’s Slammiversary event against NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne.

This special attraction match for Natalya comes just weeks after she competed at the all-women’s WWE Evolution premium live event. She was a participant in the battle royal held to determine a new number one contender for a world championship, which was ultimately won by Stephanie Vaquer.
