WWE star files trademark for nickname

Gunther has filed a trademark for his nickname.

The WWE Intercontinental Champion filed to trademark “Ring General” on August 13th with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) under his real name, Walter Hahn.

The filing was made through Michael E. Dockins, who has helped independent talent, and AEW stars with securing their trademarks over the years. Here is the description:

“Mark For: RING GENERAL™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of hats; Shirts; Athletic shirts; Shirts and short-sleeved shirts; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts.”

WWE changed his name earlier this year before his arrival on the main roster, where he has been booked strongly.

Gunther recently retained the Intercontinental Title over Shinsuke Nakamura on an episode of SmackDown. As of this writing, he doesn’t have a match announced for Clash at the Castle next month in the UK.
