The status of WWE Superstar Shotzi with the company is currently unclear following a change to her profile on the official WWE.com website. Shotzi’s profile has been moved from the active SmackDown roster section to the site’s Alumni page. While this move typically signifies a performer’s departure, there has been no official confirmation of Shotzi’s release from WWE or from Shotzi herself at this time.
This development comes just a day after a wave of WWE talent and staff releases occurred on May 1st and 2nd. It also follows Shotzi posting a cryptic, self-produced vignette on social media earlier in the week which had initially fueled speculation about her status. However, reports on Friday from sources including Fightful Select indicated that Shotzi was not among the names released during the May 2nd cuts and that her creative promo had actually received praise backstage.
Historically, being moved to the Alumni roster is the standard procedure when a talent is released from their contract. However, given the reports from just yesterday explicitly stating she was not released, her current official standing with the company remains ambiguous pending further confirmation.
Shotzi returned to action earlier this year after recovering from an ACL injury sustained in January 2024. She primarily appeared on NXT following her return and was last seen accompanying Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley at the NXT Stand & Deliver event during WrestleMania weekend. Dolin was among the NXT talents confirmed released on May 2nd. Fans are now awaiting clarification on whether Shotzi’s move to the alumni page signifies a delayed release announcement or represents a website error amidst the recent personnel changes.
