Jade Cargill’s long-standing streak ended abruptly on the March 21st episode of WWE SmackDown, where she suffered a pinfall loss in a singles match against Liv Morgan.
The finish saw Raquel Rodriguez create a distraction, allowing Naomi to interfere and hit Cargill with a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship belt. Morgan capitalized on the opportunity, hitting her finisher to secure the victory.
After the match, Naomi continued her assault on Cargill. This marked Cargill’s first in-ring appearance since November 2024 and her first singles match since August 2024. She had been absent for months due to a mystery attack angle, where she was ambushed on the loading dock.
The SmackDown star made her return to the WWE Elimination Chamber, directly targeting Naomi, who was revealed as her attacker. As a result, she beat down Naomi and left her being stretchered to back.
The rivalry between Cargill and Naomi looks to be setting the stage for a potential match at WrestleMania 41. WWE has yet to confirm it, though.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful noted on Twitter that this marks Cargill’s first singles pinfall loss since September 2023, which dates back to her AEW days. Up to this point, she hadn’t been pinned in the five singles matches she had in WWE since signing with the company in late 2023.
