WWE Star Makes History

WWE has been on fire this year across the main roster and NXT. At that time, one star had a breakout year.

That wrestler is Oba Femi, who is now officially the longest-reigning NXT North American Champion in history. He has held the title for 270 days, surpassing Wes Lee, who held the title for 269 days.

Femi won the title in January on an episode of NXT after he cashed in his NXT Breakout Tournament contract and defeated Dragon Lee. Since then, he has made ten title defenses.

In those title defenses, he has beaten Lee, Ivar, Otis, Dijak, Josh Briggs, Lexis King, Joe Coffey, and more during his reign. Now, he’s looking to get to the 11th defense.

That will be on the October 8th episode of NXT when he faces Tony D’Angelo. This is a rematch from when he previously defeated D’Angelo at NXT No Mercy.
