WWE Star Has Re-Signed With The Company

Update: Fightful Select has since confirmed Alexander signed a multi-year deal.

Original: WWE had several contracts that were up this year, with some signing new deals, such as Asuka, Seth Rollins, Shayna Baszler, Drew McIntyre, Humberto Carrillo, Angel Garza, and Damian Priest.

It appears another star has also signed a new deal that will keep him under contract for years to come. That wrestler is Cedric Alexander.

Alexander has had ups and downs throughout his career with WWE. He worked the Cruiserweight Classic, then moved to the 205 Live brand. He was later moved to Raw. In late 2019, it was reported that Paul Heyman was high on Alexander while he was the Raw Executive Director, and he received a brief push. During the push, Alexander feuded with AJ Styles over the United States Title.

Alexander was put with Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin in 2020 as part of The Hurt Business, a beloved fan-favorite faction that was broken up. Alexander became a Tag Team Champion during that run. Since then, WWE hasn’t done much with Alexander besides working on house shows and Main Event matches, although he was recently sent to NXT.

While doing virtual signing for K & S WrestleFest, MVP stated that he thinks Alexander “recently signed a new deal” with WWE. It should be noted that this has not been reported, nor has Alexander or the company confirmed the news.
