WWE Star Missed Recent SmackDown Event After Health Scare

The real reason for Chelsea Green’s absence from the June 13 episode of WWE SmackDown has been revealed. According to a report from Fightful Select, Green missed the show due to a sinus infection that was severe enough to cause hearing loss and require a trip to the emergency room.

On that week’s episode, an on-screen angle was presented stating that Green was not at the venue for her scheduled Queen of the Ring tournament match, and she was subsequently replaced. Green did not travel to the show due to the illness.

The sinus issue was reportedly unrelated to the broken nose she had suffered in the weeks prior. Despite the broken nose, Green had been open to continuing to wrestle and work while injured.

Producers backstage were said to have complimented Green on her quick turnaround, as she was able to heal up from the sinus infection and appear on the following week’s edition of SmackDown.
