WWE star misses live events due to illness after returning from Saudi Arabia

Former WWE Raw Tag Team Champion Erik of The Viking Raiders had to miss two WWE live events this past weekend.

The Viking Raiders lost to Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson at the WWE Super ShowDown pay-per-view event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at the Mohammed Abdou Arena last Thursday. The bout aired as part of the Kickoff Show pre-show portion of the event.

Once coming back to the United States, WWE sent him home for a few days due to him being ill after traveling back from Saudi Arabia.

At the WWE events on Saturday and Sunday, Ivar teamed up with Kevin Owens and Drew McIntyre to beat Seth Rollins and The AOP in the main event spot.

While there have been travel bans in Saudi Arabia due to Coronavirus, there is no word yet on the illness that Erik is dealing with.
