Pwinsider.com reports that MVP recently transitioned from working behind-the-scenes into being a full-time wrestler for the company. Up until now, he had been primarily working as a producer and wrestled when WWE needed him to do so.
As of this writing, there’s no word yet on why WWE made the decision.
It should be noted that WWE furloughed several producers back in April and there are no signs of slowing down on cost-cutting. The reason for this is due to the financial impact on the company due to the coronavirus. As noted, it’s been reported that the belief is WWE will bring back some producers who were let go when they start running live events again.
In addition to his work inside of the ring and as a producer, WWE paired him up with Bobby Lashley as the former WWE United States Champion serves as his manager.
MVP recently talked about why he returned to WWE and his surprise appearance at Royal Rumble. You can check out that interview here.
