WWE Superstar Piper Niven is currently out of action due to an injury, according to a report from FightfulSelect.com.
According to the Fightful Select report, the specific nature of Niven’s injury is not known at this time. The severity of the injury and a potential timeline for her return to the ring are also currently undetermined.
Piper Niven, who is from Scotland, first gained prominence in WWE during the inaugural Mae Young Classic tournament in 2017. She later became a key figure on the NXT UK brand before being called up to the main roster in 2021. Upon her debut on Raw, she was given the name Doudrop and paired with Eva Marie. After more than a year under that persona, she eventually reverted to the Piper Niven name.
Her current storyline involves her partnership with Chelsea Green in a faction known as “The Secret Hervice.” The team was formed in August 2023 after Green’s then-tag team partner, Sonya Deville, suffered a torn ACL and had to vacate her half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Niven declared herself Green’s new partner, and the duo went on to have a reign as champions.
In recent weeks on SmackDown, The Secret Hervice has been involved in a storyline with the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. Niven’s last televised match was a singles victory over Flair approximately one month ago. The feud has continued, but without Niven present on-screen.
Due to Niven’s absence, this past Friday’s episode of SmackDown saw Chelsea Green team with a different partner, Alba Fyre, for a championship match against Flair and Bliss. Green and Fyre were unsuccessful in their attempt to win the titles.
The injury report adds real-world context to a social media post made by Chelsea Green on Saturday. In an in-character post on X, Green announced that the “Secret Hervice” was accepting applications for a “fill-in candidate” because her partner, “Slaygent P” (Piper Niven), was away on a “top-secret special assignment.”
