WWE Star Placed In Concussion Protocol After Wrestlepalooza

Jey Uso is reportedly banged up following his tag team match at the inaugural WWE Wrestlepalooza premium live event. According to a report from Bryan Alvarez, Uso was placed in concussion protocol after being banged up during the bout that pitted The Usos against The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

The injury occurred when Jey Uso used a steel chair, which was legal in the match, and it ricocheted off Bron Breakker’s back and struck him in the head, causing him to be busted open. “Jey busted himself open. He hit Bron with the chair, and it bounced off Bron’s back and split him six ways from Sunday,” Alvarez reported. “He’s in concussion protocol, which is a requirement after any injury like this.”

The use of chairs was made possible by the last-minute addition of LA Knight as the special guest referee for the contest. Knight’s involvement added another layer of intrigue to the match, as he has been feuding with The Vision for months but has also recently developed a rivalry with Jey Uso. The finish of the contest came shortly after the injury spot. Bron Breakker hit a spear on both Usos, sending them crashing through a table set up in the corner of the ring. Bronson Reed then followed up with his “Tsunami” splash on Jey to secure the victory for his team. The extent of Jey’s injury and how long he may be out of action is not yet known.

While Breakker and Reed picked up a victory for their faction, their stablemate, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, did not have the same success later in the evening. Rollins and his wife, Becky Lynch, were defeated by the returning AJ Lee and her husband, CM Punk. The match marked Lee’s first time competing in a ring in over a decade, and she secured the victory for her team by forcing Lynch to submit to her “Black Widow” finishing maneuver.
