WWE star pulled from this weekend’s live events

WWE wrote Matt Riddle off television during Monday Night Raw this week.

Riddle teamed with Kevin Owens in a losing effort to Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos on the show.

Post-match, Solo Sikoa hit Riddle with the Asiatic spike and the Samoan Bulldozer (hip attack) in the corner of the ring, which was a tribute one day after what would have been Umaga’s 49th birthday. Riddle was stretched from ringside to the backstage area.

Pwinsider.com reports that Riddle has been pulled from this weekend’s live events. No further details were given.

Typically, WWE does these types of angles because a wrestler will be away for a while, whether it’s due to a personal reason or injury related. As of this writing, it’s still unclear why Riddle was written off television.

The Usos will go to SmackDown this Friday night to defend the titles against Sheamus and Butch. Drew McIntyre was replaced by Butch because McIntyre is not cleared to wrestle.
