WWE Star Receives New Ring Name

The Bloodline has grown once again. During the WWE Night of Champions event, the former Hikuleo in New Japan Pro-Wrestling made his official WWE debut, interfering in the United States Championship match between Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa.

The towering superstar attacked Fatu, allowing Sikoa to hit a Samoan Spike and win the United States Championship, his first title on the main roster. This marks the official debut of the man who is the real-life brother of Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, further strengthening Solo Sikoa’s faction.

While the commentary team of Michael Cole and Wade Barrett alluded to his history in Japan and his family connections, they did not refer to him by name. However, during the Night of Champions post-show press conference, a lower-third graphic displayed during a promo from the new champion revealed that Hikuleo will now be known as “Tala Tonga” in WWE.
