Over the last few weeks, there have been rumors going around that Shane McMahon could be the person to dethrone Kofi Kingston as WWE Champion. The reason for this speculation is due to WWE heavily pushing McMahon on television and having him beat The Miz and Roman Reigns in recent matches.
McMahon’s most recent high profile match came against Reigns at the WWE Super ShowDown pay-per-view event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.
A fan recently asked Rusev on Twitter, “How frustrating is it to see Shane McMahon on TV instead of you?” Rusev replied, “I’m not. It’s normal. He is the bosses son.”

WWE is slated to hold the Stomping Grounds pay-per-view event on Sunday, June 23 at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA. Although McMahon doesn’t have a match at this show, he’ll likely be at ringside for the Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre match.
