Rey Mysterio will be returning to Monday Night Raw this week at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
This would be Mysterio’s first WWE TV appearance since he vacated the United States Championship to Samoa Joe on the June 3rd edition of Raw after suffering a separated shoulder. The injury occurred during his match with Joe at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view in May.
Monday’s WWE Raw will be the go-home show for Extreme Rules pay-per-view. WWE did not say if Mysterio will actually be wrestling on the show.
This would be the second show with Paul Heyman as the Executive Director of the brand so it will be interesting what other changes we see on Monday. I would assume that the bigger changes to the show won’t happen until after Extreme Rules.
