WWE star returning to the ring after being out of action for almost a year

Sonya Deville is currently in an authority figure role alongside Adam Pearce on WWE television but it looks like she is getting ready to return to the ring.

Deville hasn't wrestled since losing a "loser leaves WWE" ao Mandy Rose last year at SummerSlam. The original plan was for her to lose her hair after losing to Mandy Rose but the stipulation was changed to a "loser leaves WWE" match because Deville needed time off to tend to her court case against her alleged stalker. Losing her hair would not have been the best thing to do during a pending court case so that also played a factor in the stipulation being changed.

Deville returned during a January episode of SmackDown and has yet to do anything physical but, as first reported by Ringside News, she has started training.

Originally, Deville was supposed to have been back in the ring during WrestleMania season but a WWE source told RSN that plans got pushed back "another week, another two weeks, another week, another two weeks."

When Deville returned in January it was stated that she was reinstated but as Adam Pearce's assistant. In recent weeks, Deville has been making decisions on her own, including the decision to reinstate Charlotte Flair after she was suspended by Pearce.

It is not known yet what brand she will be on or who she will be feuding with when she returns to action.
