WWE star says he is not satisfied with where his career is right now

During an interview with The Wrap, Apollo Crews admitted that he’s not satisfied with where his WWE career is right now.

“I wanted to come in here and shock the world, I guess you could say. I felt like I would have done much more at this moment in my career,” Crews said. “But I’m still young — I’m about to be 32 in a couple of days — and there’s still a lot of time. I’m still very patient and understanding in how the process works. I trust the process.”

Crews said he hoped to turn things around by winning the King Of The Ring tournament but the interview was conducted before the opening round matches on SmackDown Live and he’s already eliminated from the tournament after losing to Andrade.

Here is what Crews said about the KOTR tournament before he lost to Andrade: “It’s a great opportunity for me, personally, because I feel like winning this tournament could help me get my career to the next level. Instead of being stuck in the same place, it’ll help me break past that plateau and get that kick-start to possibly skyrocket my career. I’m sure that’s how most of us are looking at it.”

Crews is the latest WWE Superstar who has tons of talent but not being used much because he is lost in the shuffle.

Hopefully, things will turn around for him soon but with SmackDown moving to FOX in October, he could be pushed further down the card, especially if WWE decides to rely heavily on their current top stars as the company is under pressure to deliver ratings for the broadcast network.
